UVdesk Manager Nirupama had a discussion with the Founder of Jibosky, Mr. Mojibola Fowowe, about the customer support offered to the customers of Jibosky and how they manage the customer queries on the daily basis.
UVdesk: What purpose is your business, product, the organization is solving?
Mojibola: In Nigeria today, e-commerce is gradually gaining wide acceptance unlike in later times and there is still a wide gap in that business sector today that needs to be filled. Our business and website has risen among others to close that gap. We make it possible for people to purchase quality fashion materials at unbeatable prices all across the nation at their convenience.
UVdesk: Who is your role model in your business, product, or organization and how did you get inspired?
Mojibola: Although not as big as them yet in any way but our role models in business are the likes of already established eCommerce businesses in the country such as Jumia, Konga, and PayPorte. We really look forward to achieving similar feats like they’ve been able to achieve over the years.
UVdesk: What were the challenges you faced while setting up your business?
Mojibola: Well, we have faced quite a lot of challenges along the way with the major challenge being the issue of funding and finance. We are actually just starting and everyone knows that a sufficient capital base is important if any business will thrive. It is quite easy to set up an eCommerce website but it takes a great deal to promote it both offline and online. This has been the major challenge we have been facing all the while. Another issue is in the case of manpower and technical hands to carry on some tasks. Although we are about three running the business together, we have only one technical expert in our midst and the workload might be overwhelming on him at times. Asides those two issues, we are good to go.
We have escaped issues concerning customer relationship management through the services provided by Webkul. This is also a major attraction for business and we are glad that we integrated UVdesk.
UVdesk: Any advice to the users who are running a similar business as yours?
Mojibola: I’ll advise them to properly set up all that needs to be set up on their website and business and dedicate a great deal of attention to customer relationship and satisfaction if they really want positive conversions in their business. They should also carefully observe the current trends in the business line and always look for ways to deliver solutions to the needs of the people especially in a country like Nigeria where e-commerce is beginning to boom like never before.
UVdesk: How did this Business Idea clicked in your mind?
Mojibola: We identified the need and stepped in to fill the gap. I’ve always thought about a way that fashion items can be sold at relatively lower retail prices so most people can benefit from it and here we are at the forefront of the innovation. We started as merchants in some online marketplaces but when it turned out that we could no longer comfortably keep our prices significantly low due to commission rates and other charges billed to us by this marketplace, we decided it was time to evolve and build our own website so we would have all the space in the world to achieve our vision.
UVdesk: What do you do for the Business Promotion ( Online and Offline)?
Mojibola: For now, sometimes we run little budget adverts on Facebook and post to relevant Facebook groups. We have not launched any offline advert campaign at the moment but we hope to do so as soon as our budget continues to expand.
UVdesk: What are the team size and you manage your team?
Mojibola: We are currently three running the business together and we have been able to divide labor among ourselves.

Mojibola: UVdesk has been very instrumental and helpful in taking care of the customer relationship aspect of our business. We have been able to set up a fully professional customer helpdesk system with the help of UVdesk and that aspect of the business is fully taken care of for us to focus more on expansion.
