Updated 26 June 2023

By the use of Form Builder App by  UVdesk a new ticket is created when any users submit the form. In this way, a separate ticket would be created which will look standard and its management will be easy.

You can reply to the queries via the ticket and the customer will get the reply on their email address only. If the customer has any other doubt, they can ask from the mail only and the query will get updated on the ticket system automatically.

By the help of Form Builder App, you can create multiple forms for your website for different purposes like you can create one form for the feedback, another form for any other services as per the requirement.

In this article, I will explain how you can create a custom form on your ODOO site by the help of Form Builder App of UVdesk.  First, you have to go to your UVdesk Dashboard and click on APPS menu and then click on the Form Builder App icon.

After creating the Custom Form, you can either Preview the form or see its embed codes in JS Version & iframe Version.

Login into your ODOO admin end and install the Website App to create a website. After the website app is installed, you will see the homepage of your created website.

Now you will see a menu called “Customize” and under it, you will see HTML Editor. Click on HTML Editor.

Now, copy either iFrame or JSversion code and paste the in the Main “website.layout” file and save it. You can paste the code on the position where you want to display the form. All these will be done by the help of the HTML Editor.

After saving, you will see the Form Builder App Form on your ODOO website.

When any user will fill the form and submit it then a ticket will be generated in the UVdesk and the user can see the ticket id.

Now, the support agent can check the Ticket #9002 on the UVdesk with the details and query filled by the customer. The support agent can revert back to the same query asked by the customer.

The customer can login into the ticket system from the link sent to their entered mail ID along with a link to reset the password.

After they reset the password, the customer can login into the UVdesk Portal and check the revert of the support staff of their query by login into the UVdesk Helpdesk.

I hope this blog was helpful to you. In case of any doubt, please mail us at support@uvdesk.com

Hi: In Odoo 10 HTML editor it doesn’t like the ‘async’ attribute the JS from Form Builder creates. Is there any way around that? Cheers, Dave

if you want you can use defer attribute like
alternatively, you can use iframe code for formbuilder.

Hi: If I use the iFrame option is it possible to change the ‘Create Ticket’ button color on the form? I’ll also give the defer attribute a shot….
        Cheers,
        Dave

      Hello Iroayo Emmanuel,

Thank you for contacting us. We are informing to you, If we have created a form using formbuilder form. Then here now shows only one button ‘create ticket’. This is same as ‘submit’ button, but at this moment we have not added a reset button in forms.

If you want to add or update anything in current flow then this will be going with the customization work.

If you have still any query or doubt then please mail us at support@uvdesk.com

      Thanks and Regards,
      Uvdesk Team
