Han’s is a flourishing homegrown company which is engaged to consistently provide customers with an excellent dining experience by offering quality food and beverages and excellent customer service at reasonable prices.

In 1980 the first Han’s cafe opened in The Arcade. It acquires a reputation for ‘quality food at budget prices’ serving Hainanese mainstays such as pork chops and chicken rice to pasta dishes and homemade soups.

How did this Business Idea clicked in your mind?

In 1977 Mr. Han Choon Fook, then a civil servant offered cakes made by his brother Choon Kuang to colleagues and friends, which receive excellent comments on the quality. Choon Kuang was a baker at the former Red House Bakers and Confectioners Shop in Victoria Street.

In 1978 the popularity of his brother’s cakes inspired Choon Fook to quit his job to open a small bakery with his siblings in Upper Thomson Road.

In 1980 the first Han’s cafe opened in The Arcade. It acquires a reputation for ‘quality food at budget prices’ serving Hainanese mainstays such as pork chops and chicken rice to pasta dishes and homemade soups.

In 2003 Han’s Cafe opened its biggest outlet called The Tasty Town, covering an area of about 15,000sq feet at the Great Eastern Centre in the Central Business District and so on behind this business idea.

Any advice to the users who are running a similar business as yours?

This is our key responsibility and I’ll advise the same to others who so are in such kind of business to consistently provide customers with an exceptional dining experience by offering quality food and beverages and excellent customer service at reasonable prices.
