Outlook Modern Auth Configuration in UVdesk Open Source

UVdesk Open Source has already been updated to support OAuth authentication. This means that you can now configure your Outlook mailbox to use Modern Auth.

In this blog, we will explore the configuration of Outlook Modern Auth in UVdesk Open Source and how it can enhance productivity and efficiency.

Steps To Configure Outlook Modern Auth With UVdesk Open Source Helpdesk:

Step-1: In order to configure the Outlook modern auth in UVdesk open source you need to integrate Microsoft App first with your UVdesk helpdesk account.

Once the integration of the Microsoft app has been done then follow the below suggested steps.

Step-2 Follow the below steps to configure the Outlook Moder Auth.

1. Login into your UVdesk account.

2. Navigate through Dashboard –> Settings –> Mailboxes.

3. Click on add mailbox button from the top right corner.

4. Now fill in the below-required details and proceed by clicking the “Save Changes” button.

 

Inbound Emails

Inbound emails refer to messages received by a business or organization from external sources, manage how you wish to retrieve and process emails from your mailbox.

Outbound Emails

Outbound emails refer to messages that are sent from a business or organization to external recipients, typically customers, prospects, or other stakeholders.

Thereafter, the user needs to click on create mailbox button.

Run Cron Job

Run the below refresh command through the terminal into the project root directory to fetch emails as tickets.

Schedule a cron job that needs to be executed repeatedly (e.g., hourly, daily, or weekly), you can use the crontab command.

Thereafter, Here we have done all the settings of the mailbox configuration and now you can able to send and receive emails over the ticket panel.
